James Horsfall returns to the Jersey Arts Centre platform after his inaugural recital back in November 2020. The music will range from Bach and Scarlatti through Beethoven and Schubert to Richard Strauss and Mendelssohn. A major work by Debussy will form the centrepiece, and you will hear a new composition written specifically for the occasion by James himself.

James has played the piano from an early age, and gained a music scholarship to Public School. He later gained another to Magdalen College, Oxford, where he was offered further awards. The next stop was the Royal College of Music in London where he studied piano exclusively. Although he has spent much of his life as a teacher and accompanist on the Island, solos have often featured, and more so of late.
