Our Junior Drama group for 8-13 year olds has now been running for 17 years having started in January 2006 with two senior members of our youtheatre.

Participants are taken through the principles of performance, improvisation, voice and movement. Communication, concentration and commitment are essential disciplines of exciting performance and these are further explored and developed with fun drama activities and games.

Jordi Sunier and Victoria Hermitage are now the directors of our Junior Drama group and are planning the production for summer 2024.

Junior Drama is currently full. The next intake will be in September 2024.

I feel the rehearsals have really helped my confidence as an actor and as a human… it has felt like a family to me… the play went very smoothly and maybe one of the best I have ever done.

– Participant

The drama workshops are the highlight of the week… The energy of the workshops seems infectious… This play, particularly, has helped their literary skills… and it encourages deep thought. They have learnt so much in the four years they has been involved. They have developed skills in acting, singing, dance and public-speaking – to name but a few.
