This is one of my all-time favourite films, and you just have to take a look at the cast list – Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan, Jude Law, Willem Dafoe, to name just a few – to realise it must be one worth starring in.

Written and directed by Wes Anderson, and allegedly inspired by the writing of Stefan Zweig, it tells the hilarious story of Zero Moustafa, lobby-boy under the tutelage of legendary concierge Gustave H, at the infamous Grand Budapest Hotel.

The story-telling is superb, the cinematography dazzling, and the comic one-liners still have my 15 year old chuckling several weeks after we watched it to cheer us up on a lockdown Friday night. Unfortunately, many of these lines are probably too rude to repeat here, but watch it and you’ll see what I mean!

This is just such a good film – irreverent, funny and expertly acted… stop reading my sorry attempts at doing it justice and get watching!
